Deputy Manager - Residential Care Home, Learning Disabilities

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join the team at Primrose Hill Farm in Kings Norton.

Primrose Hill Farm offers seven purpose-built dwellings and is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide residential care for adults aged eighteen plus who have been diagnosed with a learning disability and associated complex needs.

The role:

  • Working 42 hours per week on a flexible shift system, which will include long days and at least one weekend per month, the successful Deputy Manager will assist the Registered Manager and the Assistant Manager in the day to day running of the home.
  • Offer support in the recruitment and selection of the staff team, manage the induction process, and ensure that all the company policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Participate in assessing and planning to meet the individual service users needs.
  • Conduct audits to ensure that the home is exceeding the essential standards of quality and safety.
  • Offer guidance and support to members of the staff team, conduct one to one meetings and chair staff and service user meetings when required.
  • The post holder will also take part in the on-call rota.

Qualifications/Skills:

Applicants will hold the Leadership in Care Services Level 5 Diploma or an equivalent care qualification.

Excellent communication and leadership skills developed in a similar setting is essential as is extensive experience working with vulnerable adults with a learning disability and/or mental health conditions and complex needs.
