Xpertise are excited to be working with a well-respected and award-winning client of ours to help source them a Head of Delivery to join their Solutions Development and Delivery function. The Head of Delivery will lead the planning, delivery, and transition to support BAU of IT Change across the organisation, as well as ensuring projects in the portfolio are accurately prioritised. This role is also responsible for collaborating closely with the Director of IT and other members of the IT leadership team to execute the vision and strategy.

 

I’m looking to speak with individuals who have demonstrable experience working in a leadership position within IT Project Management and is capable leading on a range of projects and workstreams. The right candidate will have excellent communication skills and can work effectively within a team.

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Proven leader of project and IT technical teams and expertise across all aspects of project governance, from inception to delivery and handover.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams concurrently
  • Work with technology change delivery across multiple inter-dependent products using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Working in partnership with the IT Director and the other members of the IT Leadership Team in executing the vision and strategy for the Solutions Development & Delivery Team
  • Budgetary accountability, you will monitor and control resources, revenue, and capital costs, ensuring alignment with portfolio budgets while managing stakeholder expectations
  • Oversee the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring that it is agreed upon and rigorously followed
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and foster a positive working environment within your team, role modelling the organisations values and driving continuous improvement

 

Experience required:

 

  • Experience in a Leadership position within IT Project Management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with Director level stakeholders
  • Professional qualifications APMP or Prince2, Agile PM etc (Not essential)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for Agile Delivery desirable
