Job Description:

Role Overview: As a Homeless Support Worker for this organisation, you will play a crucial role in supporting homeless individuals through both office-based and outreach activities. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, provide essential services, and connect them with resources to improve their living conditions and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Assessment and Support:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients needs and develop personalized support plans.
Provide emotional and practical support to clients, helping them navigate housing, healthcare, and social services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
Outreach Activities:
Engage with homeless individuals in the community through outreach programs.
Build trust and rapport with clients, offering immediate assistance and referrals to appropriate services.
Distribute essential supplies such as food, clothing, and hygiene products during outreach visits.
Collaboration and Advocacy:
Work collaboratively with local authorities, healthcare providers, and other organizations to coordinate services for clients.
Advocate for clients rights and needs, ensuring they receive fair treatment and access to resources.
Participate in community meetings and events to raise awareness about homelessness and promote Trusted Homes initiatives.
Office-Based Duties:
Manage administrative tasks related to client support, including scheduling appointments and follow-ups.
Assist in the development and implementation of support programs and initiatives.
Provide regular reports on client progress and program outcomes to the management team.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a support worker role, preferably within the homelessness sector.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by homeless individuals and the services available to them.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively.
Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to client support.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for outreach activities.
