This is an excellent opportunity for Youth Workers who are ready to take the next step in their careers and make a positive impact in a school setting. As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work. Your experience as a Youth Worker will help you build positive relationships with students and maintain a constructive learning environment. Our partner secondary schools in Yardley are well-regarded for their inclusive and supportive approach to education. With a focus on academic and personal development, these schools offer a welcoming environment for both staff and students to thrive.

 

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

  • Previous experience as a Youth Worker or in a similar role working with young people.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Confidence to lead and supervise classes across a range of subjects.
  • A genuine desire to make a difference in students’ lives.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to different school environments.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
