Gleeson are really excited to be partnering with an up and coming construction and property business based in the Birmingham City Centre to support with their recruitment needs. This business are going through record amounts of growth and really taking over the property and construction sector at the moment and as a result their finance team is growing! They are now looking to bring someone in on a temporary to permanent basis to support with a range of Accounting tasks, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking and even month end!!
This role will allow the right person to really sink their teeth into the job, as you will be working as part of a smaller team, meaning your day to day will be really varied, allowing you to grow your own experience.
The reason we are recruiting this role temporary is due to the urgency of it, as a result of a few on-going projects this recruitment process has been pushed back slightly and they are now ideally wanting someone to start in January, so please only apply if you are immediately available. However, the plan is to convert this position to permanent at the three month mark.
The key thing for this role is that the successful person must have XERO accounting software experience, so please only apply if you have had this experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Working with Xero accounting software.
- Processing invoices, including CIS invoices.
- Resolving finance queries for purchase ledger and sales ledger.
- Completing banks statement reconciliations.
- Supporting with month end tasks.
- Working closely with the businesses financial controller to provide ad-hoc support to them.
- Anything else you are eager to get your teeth sunk into, this business would love someone who is a bit of a self-starter who will be looking for new challenges to tackle.
Candidate Attributes and Skills:
- Must have XERO accounting software experience
- Have previously worked within finance, however we are only requiring 6 months experience for this role.
- Be immediately available and be able to start this role in January.
- Be a self-starter, this role will allow the right person to really take charge of the position and to gain experience in a wide range of tasks, but only if they want it. So ideally we are wanting someone who is hungry to learn.
