Due to continued success in the UK, my Global client is seeking experienced Application Engineers to join their Appian Low-Code team as they continue to expand.

Depending on experience this role offers the chance to lead/ or be part of an experienced team working on the design and development of applications and solutions that support business-critical systems, elevating their clients to the next level. You will become an integral part of a dynamic team, enhancing and supporting critical applications. Success in this role is contingent upon obtaining SC clearance.

As an Application/ Senior Application Engineer, you will focus on using Appian, a leading platform for low-code automation. Appian provides a powerful workflow and automation technology that enables businesses to rapidly build and deploy high-impact business applications. Your experience in Appian will be crucial in driving the development of innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of their clients.

Day-to-day duties of the role include:

  • Lead and organise team activities, manage service delivery, delegate work, and manage capacity. (Not for the non-senior level)
  • Assess the technical feasibility of business enhancement requests and implement fixes.
  • Evaluate and develop scalable, performant, and efficient solutions using Appian.
  • Design and implement Appian-based solutions with your team and provide demonstrations to their clients.
  • Utilise Appian's architectural principles, models, patterns, and perspectives to develop independent solutions for their clients.
  • Establish and implement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to optimise team delivery and measure service performance.
  • Drive continual service improvement to meet client impact requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications needed:

  • Proven hands-on experience of application development experience in the Appian BPM suite.
  • Application-level architecting, designing, and development activities, with a good understanding of Appian architectural principles, models, patterns, and perspectives in order to develop solutions independently.
  • Experience in programming IT solutions with .NET, C#, VBA, or Java.
  • Appian Lead Developer Credential is desirable
  • Experience with other automation technologies (RPA, IDP, Conversational AI, etc.) is beneficial.
  • ITIL certification or service management experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Fluent in English and able to meet UK Enhanced Security checks.
  • Must be able to obtain SC clearance.

Basic requirements to achieve SC Clearance are you need to be either a holder of a British passport or have lived and worked in the UK for 5 years without any extended (3 months) time outside of the country.
