We are currently looking for top talented Java Engineers to work witthin the financial services industry for our client based in Birmingham. This will be a full time permanent role which requires 5 days a week on site in Birmingham. Our client offers unprecedented exposure to work along some incredibly bright people as well as cutting edge technology.
Roles and Responsibilites:
- Incident, problem management and change management
- Identify application stability improvements and performance or operational workflow efficiencies
- Identify and implement incident follow ups to improve alerting and reduce impact and duration
- Ensure business continuity and improve production stability
Skills Required:
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, identify the underlying problem and possible subsequent impact
- Experience in SDLC and configuration management
- Ability to work on multiples tasks in parallel
- Experience in database technologies (Sybase/DB2)
- Experience in JAVA and UNIX
