Software Developer (.Net)

Location: Oldbury, West Midlands Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:30 AM-5:00 PM), Friday (8:30 AM-1:30 PM)Type: Full-time, PermanentWorking Structure: Onsite

Our client is seeking a Software Developer to join their IT team, contributing to the development, integration, and support of software solutions for construction design and manufacturing systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects from concept to completion, ensuring that our systems align with business goals and industry best practices.

Key Requirements

Experience:3-4 years in software development (experience in manufacturing or construction is desirable) Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve software errors and data discrepancies.Experience working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills:Programming: C#, .NET, Delphi, Java, JavaScript, WPF, XAML ( not all required )Databases: SQL Server, MS Access, ADO, ODBC - including database design and administration.Web Development: Blazor, API integration.Microsoft Tools: Advanced Excel skills.Software Documentation: Ability to produce high-quality documentation for systems and software development.

Soft Skills:Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Organized and professional, able to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and ensure quality results.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to meet business needs.Database Management: Perform database design, administration, and maintenance.Documentation & Testing: Produce technical documentation and assist with system integration testing.Project Delivery: Work within project timelines to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.Innovation & Improvement: Continuously explore new technologies and contribute ideas to enhance IT capabilities.
