The Company:
My client are a well-established and highly respected B2B technology company who are experiencing another sustained period of growth across the business. I am looking for a driven Automation Software Tester join their expert Software Development team.
The Role:
As an Automation Software Tester you are responsible for the testing and quality assurance of the client's range of software products. Your extensive product knowledge will make you a point of reference for other team members and you will become a key member of the Development team. You must have strong testing skills, be hard working and be able to fit in well with an established team.
The can be a primarily remote role with occasional travel to the Midlands head office required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test modifications to products to ensure they are fit for purpose, consistent, and compliant with published standards and guidelines. You will ensure modifications are fully regression testable and delivered on schedule.
- Develop and maintain manual and automated tests to achieve the desired test coverage.
- Complete testing in line with agreed timeframes and by following the documented business processes using the appropriate test management and tools.
- Promote and advocate best practices within the team and throughout the business.
- Translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test plans and test cases.
- Rigorously planning, writing, and executing manual and automated test scripts.
- Creation and maintenance of test data, tools, and scripts.
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing, including exploratory testing.
- Perform system regression testing.
- Identifying issues, risks and dependencies escalating and managing where appropriate.
- Logging and retesting of issues.
Skills & Experience required:
- Proven Automated testing experience of Desktop, Web and Mobile Applications, ideally in a .Net-based environment.
- Good working knowledge in any mainstream programming languages, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript.
- Experience in any mainstream test automation frameworks and tools, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Appium, WinAppDriver or similar for Desktop, Web and Mobile applications.
- Experience of API testing.
- Practical and systematic approach to manual and automated testing.
