Role: Microsoft / C# - Software Tester

Location: Aston, Birmingham - 5 days onsite per week

Chapman Tate Associates seeks a Software Tester to join this established and award winning distributor. My client are a major player their field and with an annual turnover of £200million plus, they are well positioned to grown and develop there is function.

This is a brand new role where you will be helping support the Senior Software Tester and work alongside the Software Development team with a number of migration projects across the next 18-months.

My client seeks a a skilled Tester with experience in a C# environment including and unit testing. As a Software Tester, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their software applications which will be sitting in a Microsoft C# environment.

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Design, develop, and execute tests for C# applications, including unit tests, integration tests, and UI tests

- Write unit tests using frameworks like NUnit, xUnit, or MSTest

- Identify and report defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues

- Create and maintain test automation frameworks

- Develop and execute manual test cases for software applications

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing aligns with project goals

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience in software testing with C# / .Net

- Strong knowledge of C# programming language and .NET framework

- Experience with unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, etc.)

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git, etc.)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) is a plus
