Tradewind Recruitment are working with an all-through provision for pupils aged from 2 - 19 years who have a variety of learning difficulties, sensory impairments and complex medical needs. The school provides pupils with an outstanding education in a caring environment. We are recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the school's wonderful team on a full-time basis to start from January.

The role will involve supporting class teachers with the preparation of resources for lessons, supporting pupils during lessons, individually and in small groups and supporting the care needs and well-being of pupils throughout the school day.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a special school and/or with individuals with complex needs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they can:

  • work using own initiative, and as part of a team
  • support the varied, complex needs of their pupils/students
  • communicate clearly and effectively with parents/carers, pupils and colleagues
  • take ownership of tasks
  • excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • work flexibly to meet the needs of the school
