A Primary SEN Secondary School in Birmingham is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to cover a long-term absence. It is a successful school with a long and proven track-record of providing high quality education for pupils with ASD. The school has strong leadership, gained a good in their last Ofsted and give support and development to members of staff working in the school on a temporary basis. Details of the role and school:

  • The role is Monday to Friday and is term time only on a temporary basis
  • The post is to start in January 2025 and will run in the first instance up until the February half term in the first instance and possibly beyond
  • The person concerned will be working with a class of 12 Year 3 pupils, providing support to the pupils and working alongside other Teaching Assistants and the Class Teacher
  • The role will be supporting pupils with teaching and learning as well as with behaviour and social and emotional wellbeing
  • The person concerned will have recent experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant and have experience of working with children with Autism
