Job Description: We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children who have a range of special educational needs. The successful candidate will assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored support to students, ensuring they are fully engaged in learning activities and receiving the care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Help develop and implement personalised learning plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Work with students with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
  • Support students' social and emotional development and provide a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and the organisation of learning materials.
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of all students in your care.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies (training provided).
