ABC Teachers are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist Autism provision near Moseley, starting in October 2024.

About the role:

  • Providing 1:1 support in class to students with Autism, helping them access the curriculum and develop key skills.
  • Adapting to the individual needs of students, ensuring an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
  • Working closely with the class teacher to create innovative strategies and resources tailored to each student's unique learning style.
  • This is a full-time position starting in October 2024, with the opportunity for ongoing work for the right candidate. Part-time and flexible roles are also available.

About the school:

  • The school caters to primary and secondary-aged students with Autism and associated needs, from moderate to more complex.
  • A nurturing environment with a dedicated staff team focused on helping students achieve their full potential.

About you:

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to the diverse and changing needs of children with Autism.
  • Be patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children with special needs.
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Be committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
  • Be able to provide suitable references and pass a DBS check.

All staff registered with us will undergo comprehensive interviewing and referencing, and must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
