Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Full Time / Part Time

Academics Ltd are seeking to appoint several teaching assistants to work for a college based in Erdington. The teaching assistant must have experience of supporting students/children with SEN needs. The school caters for 16 - 19 year old students with special educational needs including severe, complex, multiple learning difficulties as well as behavioural and physical difficulties.

We are recruiting for long term and part time positions for this college which are starting immediately!

An enhanced Child & Adult DBS Certificate is required for this role or you must be willing to take one out with Academics Ltd. You must hold a Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent) in order to be accepted for this role.

The successful SEN teaching assistant must be able to deliver:

  • The development of an inclusive society by acting as a resource, and by promoting and understanding the needs of individuals with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • A safe, welcoming, and effective learning environment for students and staff where everybody respects the abilities, values, and beliefs of others.
