About the Role:LTF Recruitment is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with SEN in Years 3 and 5. This classroom-based role involves assisting a small group of students with ASD and supporting the class overall. This position is long-term with the potential for permanency for the right candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEN on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist teaching and learning across Key Stage Two.
  • Run intervention sessions for children.
  • Ensure a caring and safe environment for all pupils to reach their full potential.

Personal Specifications:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD).
  • Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 12 months' experience as a TA.
  • Experience working one-to-one and in small groups, including running intervention sessions.
  • Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Calm, patient, and caring persona.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
