JOB DESCRIPTION

SEN Teaching Assistant 

5 days per week (8:30am - 3.30pm)

ASAP Start 

Wanting to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant  with immediate start at a popular and highly respected primary school in Stechford?

This friendly and welcoming Primary School are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their resource base with a small group of students with complex needs. The children vary in age from EYFS - KS2 and there may be some personal care involved from time to time.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a very well respected and popular school which has a very warm feel to it.

The hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm , Monday to Friday. 

This role involves being proactive and passionate, and you must have initiative to get involved and help the children when they are distressed, or situations need de-escalating.

 

Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support, and creating close relationships with the student, therefore it is essential that you are passionate about getting the very best from the students and their learning, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 / 3 Qualification in Supporting and Learning in Schools is preferred but not essential 
  • SEN experience is cruital as the needs of the children are complex 
  • Experience in a similar role is essential as we need to be able to reference your experience
  • Flexibility and adaptability 
  • DBS - Full enhanced CHILD ONLY
  • x2 references to show education/childcare related experience
