SEN Teaching Assistant - North Birmingham

Are you a qualified teaching assistant looking for a 1-1 position working with SEN children. Are you looking for a rewarding role that gives you job satisfaction?


I am looking for an experienced teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 1. The child has very low verbal skills. PECS/Makaton are in place for this child. The school is looking for someone who can help capture and maintain the child's attention, whilst building a strong bond with the child to help build confident.
This role starts immediately and is on going 5 Dpw.

This school is dedicated to providing outstanding education to their students. The school has a great support network in place. Candidates that have previously worked there have all commented on how supportive the staff are!

Candidates will be required to have the following:
* NVQ Level 3
* Experience as SEN Teaching Assistant
* Experience of PEC/Makaton
* Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
* Good oral, written and numeracy skills
* The ability to enthuse and inspire children
* A commitment to improving outcomes for all children
* The ability to work as part of a team
* Willingness to go that extra mile
