Long Term Futures are seeking a patient and resilient Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' two-form entry primary school in the Kenilworth area. This role involves supporting a Key Stage One child with ASD and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis. The position is long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience:

    • Supporting children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, in either mainstream or specialist settings.
    • Working in UK primary schools and understanding the Key Stage One curriculum.
    • Providing 1:1 support, running small group interventions, and tracking student progress.
  • Skills:

    • Strong behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
    • Ideally, trained in Team Teach or similar behaviour management approaches.
