Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £90.15 - £99.65 per day
Location: Handsworth
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students aged 3 to 19 years with a range of special educational needs, including MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties), and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Job Requirements:

  • A valid Child or Child and Adult Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a school or similar SEN setting
  • Experience working with children or young people with complex SEN needs
  • Ability to provide tailored support to meet individual student needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning styles
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers and SENCOs

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized assistance, ensuring each student can access their learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.
