Flourish Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school in Small Heath to join their staff on a long-term basis. The school is a very multi-cultural, vibrant and positive place that provides a safe and welcoming environment.
Our client wants to appoint a passionate Teaching Assistant to work with children with SEN in a resource base. Responsibilities in this role include supporting the children to meet their individual needs, keeping them engaged and monitoring their progress. Personal care may be required.
This Teaching Assistant role is to start in September and is ongoing on a long term basis. The position is full time 08:30-15:30.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
- Experience working in schools in the UK
- Minimum Level 3 qualification
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
- Motivating and encouraging the children
- Supporting with learning and development
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and other staff
- Giving feedback to parents
- Commitment to the role
- Being flexible when needed
- Personal care may be required
Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant you will receive:
- £88.92 day rate to £95 day rate which equates to £17,340 per annum to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Small Heath which is easily commutable from Saltley, Washwood Heath, Stechford, Tyseley, Moseley, Yardley and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
