SEN Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B8 | 90-105 | Full Time | Long Term-Permanent | ASAP

LTF Recruitment is currently partnering with an inclusive Primary School in the Saltley area, who are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support staff team this academic year. The role will involve supporting children within the school's on-site alternative provision, working with pupils who have SEN and behavioural needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in the educational development and well-being of young students. For the right candidate, there is potential for the role to become permanent.

Main Duties will entail:

  • Providing 1:1 support to children with SEN and complex needs, delivering tailored assistance in an inclusive environment.
  • Working closely with pupils who face challenges in the classroom, encouraging their active engagement with the curriculum.
  • Adjusting your support and approach based on the individual needs of the students.
  • Keeping detailed records of pupils' progress and regularly updating the class teacher on their development.

Applicant Specification:

  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Capable of building strong relationships with children and becoming a trusted figure in the classroom.
