Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs in a resource base provision within a Primary School in South Birmingham. The school is an OFSTED rated Good mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. They are looking for enthusiastic and nurturing SEN support staff who can develop good relationships with children with additional needs. This is a Full-Time role starting in January 2025 and will continue for the rest of the academic year. Previous experience working with special needs, challenging behaviour, and personal care assistance is essential - the ideal candidate will have previously worked in a SEN school setting or provision. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS · Location - South Birmingham · Position - SEN TA - 1:1 / Group Support · Type of work - SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting children with complex needs · Start date - January 2025 · Duration / Likely Duration - Long term opportunity for the rest of the academic year · End date (if applicable) - July 2025 · Contract type - Temporary · Full time/part time - Wednesday and Tursday Full days and Friday Mornings · Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP86.40 per day (full-day rate) · Hours - 8:20 am - 4pm (full day) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS · Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications · Previous experience working in a UK school - in either permanent or long-term roles · Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: · Hold Right to Work in the UK · Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application · Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
