Smart Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Bournville, supporting students aged 5 to 19 years with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition). What We’re Looking For:

  • A valid Child or Child and Adult Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with SEN students
  • Proven ability to support children and young people with complex needs
  • A compassionate and patient approach with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to various learning styles and support individualised education plans (IEPs)

Your Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide tailored support to students with SEMH and ASC, helping them develop essential skills, confidence, and independence. Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
