Your new companyAn SEN Secondary School in South Birmingham is looking for an SEN Assistant to cover a long-term absence in January 2025. It is a successful school with a long and proven track-record of providing high quality education for pupils with ASD. The school has strong leadership, gained a 'good' in their last Ofsted and gives support and development to members of staff working in the school on a temporary basis. The role is Monday to Friday and is term time only. The post will run up to the October half-term, in the first instance, and could run till Easter 2025. Your new roleYou will be working with a class of 12 Year 9 pupils providing support to the pupils and working alongside other Teaching Assistants and the Class Teacher. You will be supporting pupils with teaching and learning as well as with behaviour and social and emotional wellbeing.What you'll need to succeedYou will have recent experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant and have experience of working with children with Autism.
