This role would suit someone with strong SEN experience and commitment to meeting a new challenge.Broadway Academy Trust is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and constantly striving for excellence.The DepartmentThe SEND and Inclusion department is a forward-thinking team focused on providing a holistic educational experience for all students. We work closely with families and external agencies ensuring that students, particularly those with additional needs, participate in all aspects of Academy life. This is achieved through demonstration of the Academy values through person centred practices and ensuring provision meets student needs. We are focused on training and embrace new initiatives and research to advance the support and expertise that we provide for our students.The post holderYou will have:* (or be working towards), the NASENCO qualification or NPQ for SENCOs* The ability to support the Assistant HT for SEND and Inclusion in devising the Academy strategy to ensure that every child who is classified as a SEN is supported to help them reach their full educational potential* Skills to support with the day to day running of a vibrant SEND department.* Experience of supporting SEND provision, implementing an inclusive curriculum and achieving pupil progress* Track record of teaching and working effectively with SEND students across key stages 3, 4 and 5.* Experience of managing, progressing and monitoring EHCPs, support plans and annual reviews* Experience of developing curriculum resources and designing interventions to ensure SEND students have the right support* Ability to support, challenge, mentor and develop Academy staff on SEN and learning supportWhy you should join usYou will get a real opportunity to make a difference within a school which encourages students and staff to be aspirational.
