SENCO – Part-Time Are you a qualified SENCO looking for a part-time opportunity? Are you passionate about ensuring that all young people have the tools and support that they require to access a brilliant education? This excellent Alternative Provision is looking to add a qualified SENCO to the team for 2 or 3 days a week to support with the strategic direction and development of the SEND provision.This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experienced teachers and leaders who put the needs of students first. As SENCO you will be working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy headteacher to ensure that needs of students are met, you will also be supported by an Assistant SENCO who will help to mange your caseload.  The school has excellent facilities and is a welcoming setting for staff and students. This role requires a qualified SENCO, and the school is happy to consider a SENCO from either a Primary or Secondary background. Job Role:
  • Strategic development of the schools SEND Provision.
  • Supporting staff in their understanding of special educational needs.
  • Monitoring progress of SEND students.
  • Communicating with parents, carers, and outside agencies.
  • Providing feedback to the SLT and students previous schools on students’ progress.
  • Manage a small team of SEND Teaching Assistants and an Assistant SENCO.
