- Provide one-to-one support for students with SEND, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other teaching staff to plan and deliver differentiated learning activities for students with SEND.
- Assist with the monitoring and tracking of students' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
- Support students with SEND during examinations and assessments, ensuring they are able to access the content and complete the tasks to the best of their ability.
- Help students with SEND develop their social skills, self-esteem, and confidence.
- Experience working with students with SEND in a secondary school setting.
- Knowledge of a range of SEND, including but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and SEMH
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and teaching staff.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team of Teaching Assistants
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with SEND.
