Position: Qualified SENCO (Part-Time)
Aspire People are recruiting for a Qualified SENCO, This is a part-time role for 3 days per week, offering ongoing support and a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and inclusive educational environment.
The school is committed to supporting all pupils, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced SENCO who is dedicated to ensuring children with special educational needs (SEN) are given the best possible opportunities to thrive.
You will be joining a team that is committed to ensuring children with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans) receive the support they need, with a particular focus on children with ADHD, ASD, ASC, SEMH, and MLD.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate the provision of support for students with special educational needs, including those with EHCPs.
* Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure tailored support for children with ADHD, ASD, ASC, SEMH, and MLD.
* Lead the development and implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs) for students with additional needs.
* Provide advice, training, and support to staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning for students with SEN.
* Monitor and track the progress of students with SEN, ensuring that interventions are effective and progress is made.
* Work in partnership with parents, external agencies, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Contribute to the school's SEND policy and strategy, ensuring it aligns with best practice and legal requirements.

What You'll Need:

* In-depth knowledge of SEN and SEN law, including ADHD, ASD, ASC, SEMH, and MLD.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with additional needs.
