Smart Education is recruiting for a Complex Needs Lead Supervisor to join a specialist college in Birmingham, supporting students aged 14 to 25 with autism and complex needs.

- Qualifications: QTS or equivalent and degree-level education.
- Experience: Significant background working with children with complex needs and leading teams in special education.
- Knowledge:
- Safeguarding legislation and procedures.
- Curriculum planning, including the National Curriculum.
- Phonics programs and behavior management strategies.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to create tailored educational plans.
- Professional Development: Recent training in special educational needs.
- Collaboration: Experience working with external agencies on EHCP processes.
- Lead and supervise a team delivering high-quality education and care.
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students.
- Collaborate with external professionals to support EHCPs.
- Ensure curriculum planning meets National Curriculum standards and student needs.
- Promote safeguarding and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Support students' academic, social, and personal growth to enhance independence.
