This role is ideal for a Design & Technology Teacher who has experience working in a SEND setting or a genuine enthusiasm for making a positive impact on the lives of young people.Job Role:

Teaching Design & Technology to small groups of students with special educational needs.
Planning and delivering engaging and practical lessons tailored to individual learning abilities.
Supporting students in developing confidence and practical skills in areas such as woodworking, resistant materials, and design principles.
Managing classroom behaviours effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to provide a holistic approach to learning.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Design & Technology, preferably with a background in working with SEND students.
A creative, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
