- Teaching Design & Technology to small groups of students with special educational needs.
- Planning and delivering engaging and practical lessons tailored to individual learning abilities.
- Supporting students in developing confidence and practical skills in areas such as woodworking, resistant materials, and design principles.
- Managing classroom behaviours effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to provide a holistic approach to learning.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology, preferably with a background in working with SEND students.
- A creative, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
