EdEx are working with an 'Outstanding' Secondary School in the heart of Yardley who are on the hunt for a Maths Learning Support Assistant to join their team ASAP!
As a Maths Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with a fantastic and supportive Maths Department to deliver sessions to KS3, KS4 and KS5 on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Maths Learning Support Assistant role also requires successful candidates to work with children with SEND/SEMH needs including ASD, ADHD, SpLD, behavioural issues and more. The Maths Learning Support Assistant will work with children requiring additional support on a 1:1 and small group basis. Any previous experience working with children is ideal however, school-based experience is desirable.
Maths Learning Support Assistant Job Specification
- Working in a Secondary School in Yardley, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted
- Supporting students throughout Year 7-13 within maths lessons
- Assisting class teachers to deliver relevant material
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to young people with SEND/SEMH needs
Details about the Maths Learning Support Assistant Role
- £105 - £110 per day
- 8.30am - 4pm
- Monday - Friday only
- Term-Time, Long-Term, Full-Time role
- Based in the Borough of Yardley
- ASAP start
Maths Learning Support Assistant Person Specification
- A graduate with strong academics across the board, including a 2:1 or 1st class degree and high grades in maths
- The desire to utilise their maths background to improve the academic abilities of young people
- Previous school-based experience working with children of all abilities and ages
- A passion for learning and making a positive difference from the 'get-go'
