PPA SEND Teacher - Stechford

Academics Ltd would like to welcome a PPA SEND Teacher to join a special school based in Birmingham (B33) who would love to teach on a part-time basis from Primary to KS4.

The children in the school have physical needs, profound & multiple learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties and visual & hearing impairments. The delivery of the national curriculum is personalised to children's needs so being able to adapt to class situations is very important.

The PPA/SEND Teacher will have experience in teaching all year groups and will ensure the delivery of lessons are based around children's ability to make progress.

The ideal Teacher will:

  • Hold QTS status and eligibility to work in the UK
  • Have minimum experience of teaching for 2 years within the UK/SEN schools
  • Plan and deliver good lessons using appropriate resources
  • Good to Outstanding behaviour management skills
  • Overcome obstacles when faced in difficult situations
  • Handle stressful situations patiently and calmly
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents and other agencies
  • Adapt to school routine due to unforeseen circumstances
