Smart Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to support students aged 3 to 19 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Job Requirements:

  • A valid Child or Child and Adult Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
  • A recognised Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 6 months experience in an SEN or ASD specialist setting
  • Ability to plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual student needs
  • Experience using PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools is desirable
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

Your Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will create and deliver engaging, individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of your students. Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and SENCOs, you will ensure that each student has access to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. You will be responsible for monitoring student progress, implementing behaviour management strategies, and fostering social and emotional development.
