Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for new opportunities in Birmingham?
Winner Education are seeking an SEN Teacher for a SEN school based in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham. This role will be working with a complex ASC class at primary level. We are looking to appoint the successful candidate on a long-term basis starting after the Easter holidays and will be full time, so you must be readily available and have previous experience with ASC and special needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Full class teacher responsibilities
- Support a small group of primary aged pupils
- Lead lesson planning and preparation based on individual learner requirements
- Lead and work alongside TA’s supporting small groups of learners
- Provide regular learner assessments and progress reports
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Regular communication with SENCO, parents and outside agencies when required
The successful SEN Teacher must:
- Hold QTS status
- Have previous SEN experience within primary or secondary school environment
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Previous experience of complex needs
- Form excellent relationships with the school team and pupil parents
- Show strong resilience and patience
