Join Our Schools Team - Fully Qualified SENCO Wanted!Location: B23 Position: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) Working Hours: 3 days a week or Full-time (flexible) Classroom Teaching: None requiredAre you an experienced and fully qualified SENCO looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive school environment? We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified SENCO to join one of our well-established schools in the B23 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of their students without the requirement of classroom teaching.This is an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school. The school sets high expectations for children to succeed and make outstanding progress. They develop children's confidence and ambitions and encourage them to grow and become accountable, independent learners. You will be part of this wonderful team! This role will start ASAP and is subject to a successful vetting and interview process.Your new role:

  • A flexible working arrangement - 3 days a week or full-time, 5 days a week.

  • The opportunity to focus solely on the coordination and support of SEN provision, without any classroom teaching responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the provision for children with special educational needs across the school.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans, ensuring that students' needs are met effectively.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to staff to enhance inclusive practices across the school.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEND, ensuring that they receive appropriate interventions and support.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will hold a full UK Qualification for Special Educational Needs Coordination (or equivalent).
  • Have a proven track record of working effectively with children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting staff and students alike.
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Have sufficient references.
  • Hold a full QTS.
