Tradewind Recruitment are working with an outstanding school in Northwest Birmingham which provides tailored support to primary aged pupils with a statement of special educational needs and almost all of them have a diagnosis of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). This is a full-time role to start from January, ECT's are welcome to apply.

Successful candidates will:

  • hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • have previous experience and skills of working with children with complex Autism and communication difficulties across at least 2 Key Stages
  • have a good knowledge of Autism and a willingness to learn more
  • be an enthusiastic, hardworking professional who can motivate and inspire children
  • be punctual, reliable and have a real sense of perspective
  • demonstrate drive, ambition and openness to learning and personal development
  • be an excellent team player and role model and be able to work collaboratively with all school staff
  • be flexible to the needs of the school with an "I can do" attitude and willingness to work in any class and with any pupils across the school
  • have good communication skills in order to be able to effectively communicate with pupils, parents and families
