We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Associate to join our team, focusing on triaging patients within our urgent care and out-of-hours settings.

Job DescriptionAs a Physician Associate in our Urgent Care and OOH team, you will play a crucial role in patient care by performing initial assessments, triaging patients, and ensuring they receive the appropriate care pathway. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will help manage a diverse range of medical conditions and ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct clinical assessments and triage patients in urgent care and out-of-hours settings.Take detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, and identify urgent or life-threatening conditions.Develop management plans in conjunction with senior clinicians.Provide clinical advice to patients and signpost them to the appropriate services.Liaise with GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care.Assist with the management of patients requiring follow-up or referral to secondary care services.Ensure accurate documentation of patient interactions and decisions.Work autonomously within the scope of practice, under the supervision of senior clinicians.

QualificationsFully Qualified Physician Associate Experience: Experience in urgent care, out-of-hours, or emergency settingsCompliance: Recent DBS check (within 12 months or on update service) and current mandatory training, registrations, and immunisations.
