We are seeking a Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join our dynamic team at West Heath House. This role includes a £3000 Golden Hello Bonus (T&Cs Apply) and offers the opportunity to provide strategic, professional leadership within a highly regarded multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work autonomously within your multidisciplinary team to assess and manage communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement management plans and rehabilitation strategies tailored to individual service users, involving their social networks to overcome barriers.
- Provide specialist assessments and interventions in areas such as social communication, cognitive communication, and communication partner training.
- Manage complex dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.
- Offer training and support to staff and service users' social networks, enhancing their ability to assist in the rehabilitation process.
- Play a key role in service and organisational development within the neurobehavioral rehabilitation setting.
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, registered with the HCPC.
- Achieved Dysphagia Competencies.
- Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI, including social and cognitive communication.
- Minimum of 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the overall treatment and rehabilitation of service users.
- Competitive pro rata salary of £46,148 - £52,809, depending on experience.
