Job Title: Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Full Time/Part Time)

Location: City Wide (with travel to various children’s centers)

Start Date: ASAP for an initial 12-week period (possibility of extension)

Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri, 9 am - 5 pm) or Part Time/Flexible working options available

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide highly specialized Speech and Language Therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for holistic assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children and young people.
  • Deliver specialist interventions in line with agreed service packages of care and pathways.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and stakeholders through advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  • Promote excellence in clinical practice within the specialist area, utilizing current research and evidence-based methods.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership and represent the local team in meetings to enhance quality service delivery across the city.
  • Identify training needs among team members and other professionals, and deliver training in specialized areas.
Qualifications:
  • Must have experience working with Paediatric ASD and ADOS.
  • Must possess own transport and be willing to travel to meet service needs.
