Our client is oa leading infrastructure developer. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire and Working at Height Coordinator based in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up of site fire safety systems including main and satellite accommodation
- Ensuring compliance with the Mace fire standard, HSG168 and the JCoP 10th edition
- Coordination of liaison and visits with the local WMFS stations
- Management of the MDJV fire marshals
- Coordinate the development of the project working at Height plan in line with the Working at Height Standard.
- Confirm that the Working at Height Plan is reviewed by the project team each month and/or following a change to how working at height needs to occur. Include design requirements for eliminating the need to work at height, where possible
Technical Competencies and Qualifications
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of and compliance with the Fire Standard & working at height standard.
- Experience and history of working at height activities such as scaffolding.
- Ability to use IT systems Yellowjacket management systems.
- Ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Team and leadership skills
- Have demonstrated experience managing fire safety in construction
- CSCS Managers Card holder
- SMSTS
- Management/Supervisor experience
Desirable:
- Experience in project quality management
- Principal Contractor Safety, Health and Environment experience
- IEMA Certificate
- D32/33/34 (A1/V1) Competency
