Trading for over 30 years within the reinforced concrete frame and groundworks sector, our client is leading name within the field, current turnover is over 100m+ per annum. They currently complete packages ranging in value from 10m up to 50m.
Responsibilities:
- The conversion of tenders for large-scale civils/structures/bridges/infrastructure projects
- Tendering for various project phases on HS2
- Preparation of tender submissions
- Measuring and take-offs from drawings
- Producing bills-of-quantities
- Cost Planning
- Pre and post Contract meetings with clients to sell not only the price but the reason they should pick your business over others too
- Build-up of tender price from first principles based on plans, programme, and scope of works
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Estimator/Senior Estimator
- Main Contractor / Principal Contractor experience
- Experience of civil engineering/structures/bridges/infrastructure projects
- Have a robust knowledge of pricing and current rates for the concrete structures
- Experience in the conversion of tenders for projects over 10m plus
- The ability to communicate effectively and work on your own initiative
- Decisive and reliable with excellent attention to detail
