What does the role involve?

Our client has a network of shops across the Central England. Their shops generate a substantial level of income and goodwill to enable them to deliver for the charities aims.

Their focus is around empowering shop management teams to maximise their potential within shops. The Retail Manager will support and assist the Area Manager achieve and exceed annual sales and net profit targets through efficient management and leadership taking ownership of your community.

What qualities will you need to be successful?

  • Proven experience leading a team of people at shop/store manager or large store deputy manager levels.
  • Clothing experience is preferred.
  • Charity experience is preferred but not essential, retailing however is essential.
  • Significant track record of success in driving sales income and net profit by increasing sales volumes and average price, whilst controlling employees, premises and other indirect costs.
  • A proven track record for always displaying the highest standards in personal and professional integrity even in the most challenging of circumstances.
  • Desire and passion for the vision and values of our client’s charity.
  • Belief that equality and inclusion improves the working environment.
  • Ability to analyse sales and budget figures to support the achievement of sales targets
  • Excellent relationship building skills as you will be reliant on a volunteer population that believe 150% in our client’s vision and mission
