Candidates should have experience in Industrial Engineering, data analytics, and advanced Excel functionalities, along with familiarity with Business Intelligence applications like PowerBI or Tableau. The position offers a salary range of £30,000 to £40,000, depending on experience, along with various benefits such as pension, healthcare, and social events. The ideal candidate will have a strong conceptual understanding of supply chain planning and optimization, along with excellent analytical skills.

Customer Solutions function acts in a business consultancy capacity providing internal and external customers with their extensive knowledge of supply chain, freight forwarding and a passion for supply chain and industry advancement via technology and digitisation.

We are now recruiting at the Birmingham location for a Supply Chain Engineer to join the team. Focusing on data as a pivotal differentiator to the business. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution in several key areas:

* Liaise with business users, client managers and specialists to understand the requirements / problem statements.
* Conduct data gathering and analysis to support the position to provide customised and innovative supply chain solutions to optimise supply chain performance and costs with a focus on enabling clients to achieve reductions in their operational costs, administrative workloads and inventory; whilst making improvements to their service, revenue and quality by leveraging the portfolio of their products, services and technology offered.
* Strategically identify and utilise data to support internal and external customers and provide data insights to drive decisions.
* Contribute to operational excellence by developing and improving data quality, reporting and analytics and actively support and foster a culture of data integrity.

Main responsibilities

* Hold the ability to perform high level solution design aligned with the requirements and suggest and validate various solution options for the requirements.
* Formulate solutions and build computation models and other solutions for specific business problems.
* Collect, analyse and understand complex datasets to support supply chain analytics. Identify insights and areas of opportunity to optimise supply chain
* Responding to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.
* Creating pipelines that convert raw data into usable formats

Experience required

* Industrial Engineering experience
* Background and experience in data analytics
* Experience using advanced Excel functionalities, (complex formulas and functions, vba macros, excel models, pivot tables, v-look ups etc)
* Candidate with technical knowledge and experience in working with Business Intelligence Applications (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot) will be required to support.
* Strong conceptual understanding in the Supply Chain Planning and Optimization
* Strong analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting skills
