EP Group - Supply Chain Project Manager

EP Group are a global, award winning packaging business who manufacture and supply a wide range of packaging products to the retail and food service sectors.

We are now seeking a Supply Chain / Project Manager to manage the end to end supply chain for our world class paper bags for customers like Amazon, McDonalds and Marks & Spencer.

In this role you will work cross functionally to coordinate the entire process from a customer placing an order or providing a forecast, through to the delivery of their finished products.

This will involve coordinating between sales, purchasing, shipping, stock control and production to ensure each step of the process is being delivered according to agreed timescales.

The role will have responsibility for supply chain activities into and out of both our UK and French manufacturing facilities. Some travel to our French site will therefore be required.

Responsibilities - Supply Chain Project Manager

  • Oversee the end to end supply chain process for the group’s paper bag manufacturing, setting out clear timescales for each stage of the process
  • Ensure forecasts are received and understood from sales / the customer and establish a project plan to deliver against the forecast
  • Work with purchasing and production to derive material requirements to meet the forecast / project plan
  • Work with stock control and shipping to ensure raw materials are ordered, shipped and received on time and in full according to the project plan
  • Work with production to develop, implement and deliver production planning schedules
  • Deal with any bottlenecks or issues across supply chain as they arise
  • Mitigate supply chain risks at each stage of the process and have contingency plans for any shortfalls or issues
  • Once the process is established, streamline and deliver improvements across the supply chain to improve efficiencies and reduce costs

Requirements

  • Experience of material / supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Production planning experience also essential
  • Stock control experience working with raw materials for production
  • Experience of working with international suppliers and long lead times
  • Experience of supplying multiple customers in different locations
  • Project management experience in supply chain highly desirable
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and ideally SAP
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.
