We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Engineering Surveyor within the Design and Engineering team. This role will be based on site in Birmingham city centre. Our prominent Birmingham city centre site, Sublot 4, cover a 4.5km stretch, bringing HS2 trains into the new Curzon Street station.

The site is responsible for three sections of HS2; Curzon Street Station, the Saltley area and Washwood Heath. The work involves the construction of viaducts, underbridges, overbridges, river diversions and retaining structures.

Role description:

To assist the Engineering Surveying team in supplying the survey requirements in the construction process. This role will involve different survey processes as required to support the site teams.

Tasks will vary but will include:

  • Engineering control, topographic Survey, engineering surveying and setting out.
  • You will need to provide the site team with construction information, assist in QA/QC, and support H&S (Health & Safety) and sustainability initiatives within the survey department.
  • Carry out survey activities on their own or as part of a team.
  • Creating and cascading daily site safety briefings to junior surveyors and assistants.

Experienced required:

  • Hold a valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent industry recognised qualification.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
  • A detailed understanding of design, construction, and surveying within a construction environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of capabilities of survey specific software and processing applications training will be provided for project required software.
