I am actively seeking an experienced Structural Technician/Senior Structural Technician to join a busy, successful Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Birmingham. You will assist in managing one of their busiest civil and structural teams where you will have the opportunity to be a part of their growing division, taking part in large commercial and industrial projects, such as highway design, infrastructure and drainage designs.
To be considered for this Structural Technician/Senior Structural Technician role, it is essential for candidate to have the following:
- A minimum of 2 years' work experience in infrastructure engineering/flood prevention
- Qualifications of either Meng, BEng, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering
- Need to have working knowledge of building engineering and detailing of steel and concrete
- exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Duties and responsibilities for this Structural Technician/Senior Structural Technician include:
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit and CADS RC by creating engineering design plans
- Working closely with design teams and other professionals on construction plans
- Providing technical engineering advice
- Inspecting buildings to assess their structural integrity
