Programme Manager
Our leading Financial Services client is looking for highly skilled Programme Manager to join their Edinburgh or Midlands based team for a 6 months initial contract.
Key Skills
- Strong blend of Technology Change Delivery expertise, commercial acumen and hands-on experience of leading a portfolio to transform IT delivery, ideally within Financial Services
- Previous experience of working with senior IT stakeholders, architects and business executives to develop application strategy and translate into the practical shaping and execution of change delivery
- Experience of driving commercial outcomes through a relentless focus on IT simplification, rationalisation and decommissioning
- Track record of successful collaboration and problem-solving in a complex stakeholder environment with a wide range of suppliers
- Excellent communication skills with the presence to influence transformation outcomes across the business, ability to lead the IT SLT on the journey with clear presentation of optionality
- Strong orchestration and organisation skills, pulling together multiple cross-domain capabilities into a unified delivery team
- Strong supplier management skills coupled with commercial experience and understanding of application service models
- Experience of managing change budgets of £6m+ with delivery efficiency, control and optimisation of costs
- A strategic and long-term thinking, able to plan for the future while delivering on short-term commitments and hitting agreed outcomes
- Ability to identify risks to the business from any projects and developing risk mitigation plans to ensure minimum adverse impact to the business during the delivery of projects.
- Conducting independent post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and continuously improve the project management process across the business.
- Relevant Project/Programme/Portfolio Management qualifications/Change Management (Agile, Prince2, Programme Management, Lean etc. MoR).
- Knowledge of working in a complex technology multi-vendor environment
