InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Administrator to join a construction company in North Birmingham.

You will have overall responsibility for supporting the Health and Safety department with their administration. The role is perfect for those who are organised and good at meeting deadlines, working as part of a busy team and equally good at working independently.

It would be expected that the successful candidate will offer general administration support to the team, which may involve filing, data entry, shredding etc.

The successful candidate does not need Health and Safety knowledge, however, it may be an advantage to successfully completing the role.

Duties of the Health and safety Administrator will be:

  • Input and update data streams for the purpose of maintaining current third-party accreditations, such as Achilles and Constructionline
  • Development and production of O&M operation and maintenance for projects within the Midlands region
  • Log company accident statistics and working hours, and produce infographics to display relevant information for the Senior Team and SHEQ Meetings
  • Collate and display information for external audits
  • Assist with internal audit protocol
  • Collate and disseminate requested and relevant information streams between the SHEQ department and projects when required and as appropriate
  • Offer support to the Environment and Sustainability Officer when requested, to include waste and materials input data to relevant spreadsheets, saving documents to a central file, quality checking of transfer notes and adding delivery frequency to spreadsheets
  • Generating emails when required
  • Respond to questions and requests for information

The ideal Administrator will have:

  • Experience in a similar support role
  • Experience within the construction industry would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of health and safety would be an advantage
  • A good knowledge WORD and EXCEL

Hours of work for the Health and Safety Administrator are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, part time would be considered for the right candidate

Salary for the Health and Safety Administrator is circa £30,000
