Associate Transport Planner required for a market leading consultancy who specialise in Transport Planning and Highways Design. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company who work on a range of projects in both the private and public sectors. This company are truly committed to staff development, and you will truly play an integral role within the team.

Candidates will need experience within a similar role and have a working knowledge of transport planning standards and processing. You will need experience with writing assessments as well as modelling, including working with ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG or similar.

The successful candidate will be joining an existing team of 25 during an exciting period of growth as they open their third office, located in Birmingham. You will be responsible for preparing documentation such as transport assessment and statements. You will also be responsible for junction modelling and preparing and presenting technical data and drawings.

The role will initially be a standalone position, supported by the other two offices, however the opportunity offers progression into a leadership role as the team grows over the next couple of years.

Associate Transport Planner Role:

· Transport assessments and transport statements
· Junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
· Prepare travel plans and plan coordination
· Liaison with clients, contractors and national authorities
· Office based with occasional travel requirements (approx. 1x a month)
· Support proposals and new tenders
· Mentorship of junior team members

Associate Transport Planner Candidate:

· Experience in a similar role
· Degree (or equivalent) in transport planning, geography, civil engineering or similar
· Holds chartership or an interest to work towards this (company can provide support towards this)
